Since a spot at Tilburg Textielmuseum spontaneously opened up, I used this opportunity to create a textile for a potential 7th look. Since the opportunity came so sudden and spontaneous I did not have much time to create a file.
I got inspired by the line up I drew and created a naked dress with a self written poem all over it.
I got to work with programmer Damien on the flatbed knitting machine. We worked on some jacquard swatches together and I adjusted the materials and techniques until I found a variation I was happy with.
Back at Amfi I overlocked and attached the panels to each other. Since I used elastic, the dress turned out way too tight.
As a solution for the tight fit, that also really matches my collections design language, I decided to tie the side and shoulder seams with bungee cords.
When I saw the dress finished on the mannequin I liked it but felt like it did not match my collection perfectly.
When I turned it around, the text was inverted but the colours matches my collection so much more and I was very happy with the outcome.
