This dress, inspired by the sensation of melting, captures the dual essence of helplessness and seduction.

Crafted from flowing, white mesh, it drapes the body in a way that mimics the gentle descent of melting wax. I used bungee cords to pinch and gather the fabric at strategic points, creating dynamic, sophisticated drapes and adding an unexpected, athletic element to the design.

For this dress I started off with the base of a white mesh dress with these body shaped cutouts stitched underneath.

I then added eyelets to the parts where I wanted to bungee cords to go through and stitched tunnels as well.

For the drapings I started off directly draping and pinning them on the mannequin, like that I could predict the flow and adjust it during the process.

To attach it I top stitched it very closely.

After the midterm I decided to make a headpiece with a provocative statement on top. First I thought I would embroider it with beads and yarns but since the mesh is so fragile I looked for a more stabilising technique.

I decided to needle felt it and put beads on top after, but when I saw the result of this kind of fluffy embroidery I loved it so much that I wanted to keep it that way.

As the finishing tough I added aglets to all the ends of the bungee cords and on the front and back ones I added the titanium bullet beads.

I really love the flow of this dress when in movement, i think it is gonna look super well on the runway.

For styling I am thinking to add big silver rings to remind of brass knuckles.
